Terror network case trial adjourned again

The Additional Sessions Court at Thalassery again adjourned the trial proceedings in the case relating to the terror network functioning in the State and posted the case for September 8.

The trial proceedings against seven of the 23 accused in the case registered by the Joint Investigation Team at the Edakkad police station here were again adjourned on Friday by judge K. Babu following a request from the prosecution side for the trial of all the 23 accused in the case together. This was the third time the court had

adjourned the trial proceedings against the seven accused.

The seven accused are Muhammad Nainar Ali, V. Firoz, K.M. Muhammad Nawas, P.V. Sabir Sukhari, P.V. Anas, P. Shaneej and C.P. Abdul Hameed. They were

not produced before the court on Friday.

Meanwhile, these accused submitted a petition through their lawyers that they were facing human rights violation in the jail. The complaint said they were kept in solitary confinement and that the authorities were ill-treating their relatives visiting the jail to meet them.
