The Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, has ordered the replacement of the flag mast of the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple here with a new one. The new mast will have gold-plated casing. The order was in response to a plea made by the Fit Person (Thakkar) of the temple, Karumuttu T. Kannan, during his meeting with the Chief Minister in Chennai on Thursday.
