Body of a 20-year-old construction worker hailing from Bihar was found at a sump of a construction site on the Bagalur Road near Hosur on Sunday.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as R. Pandikumar of Jegannathanpur in Mujibur district in Bihar. It was alleged that the body was found in the sump later in the evening and the cause of the death will be known only after the post mortem.
On receiving the information about the death, the HUDCO police rushed to the spot and seized the body and sent for post mortem to the Government Taluk Hospital in Hosur. Post-mortem would be done only after the deceased brother’s arrival from Bihar, the police sources said.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by the Village Administrative Officer R. Vijaykumar, the Hosur HUDCO police have registered a case under section 174 (unnatural death) of IPC. Further investigations are on.
