The mystery surrounding the TNPSC Group II question paper leak is growing with fresh inquiries revealing that Anandha Rao, so far suspected to be the original source of the leak, is a conduit.

According to police, leads got from investigations so far suggest that the trail could lead up to a printing unit in Kolkata.

Anandha Rao, a railway employee working at a loco workshop in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, was arrested by a team of personnel in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, based on the information obtained from Thiyagarajan, another key suspect in the case.

New details emerged after a special team went to Odisha to investigate further and find out how Anandha Rao got hold of a copy of the question paper.

It is believed that he obtained a copy of the question paper from another person in Bhubaneswar. “We have vital clues about the person who handed over the copy to Anandha Rao and the team is now following the trail. This time, we feel that we are close to detecting the original source of the leak,” a senior police officer said.
