Jayalalithaa sanctions purchase of dental chairs

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has sanctioned purchase of 149 dental chairs at a cost of about Rs.1.24 crore for the Government Dental College here.

Aimed at facilitating speedier treatment, the move is part of the government’s plan to modernise dental colleges, according to an official release issued on Tuesday.

Rs. 10 crore earmarked

The government has set apart Rs.10 crore for upgrading the Government Dental College and Hospital into Centre of Excellence in Dentistry.
