Micro, small and medium scale industries could avail enhanced subsidy for buying power generator sets, Collector Ashish Kumar said.

In a statement, he said that to meet the needs of these industrialists, the State government had launched a new initiative. At times of power cut, generators were essential to produce goods without a break. Previously, this quantum of subsidy was provided to those using gensets with capacity of 125 KVA.

Those wiling to avail the benefit should apply for it by June 18. For further details contact, District Industries Centre, Bypass Road, Tuticorin in person or call 0461 2340053 or 2340152, the statement added.
