A special police team personnel arrested two more persons in connection with the house demolition case registered against V. Dhivaharan, brother of Sasikala, at Mannargudi on Monday.

The arrested persons were Thamizh Selvan (56), AIADMK branch secretary of Rishiyur, and Vaidyanathan (57) of Rishiyur.

On information that the two were hiding in a house at Mannargudi, the team went there and arrested them. They were produced before Nidamangalam Magistrate who remanded them to 15 days custody. They were taken to Tiruchi Central Prison.

Meanwhile, three more persons surrendered before Nidamangalam police on Monday. They were Krishna Menon, Rishiyur panchayat president, Rajendran and Gunasekaran. The police have arrested so far five persons in connection with the case.

Kasthuri, wife of Balasubramanian gave a complaint to the police that her house at Rishiyur was demolished by seven persons and some officials on November 28, 2011. She alleged that the demolition was done at the behest of Dhivaharan.
