The Southern Railway has announced special trains in the Madurai – Coimbatore section via Pollachi and Palani for clearing the Pongal rush.
Train 06083 Madurai – Coimbatore special fare special train will depart from Madurai at 8.45 a.m. on January 13 to reach Coimbatore at 2.15 p.m.
Train 06084 Coimbatore – Madurai special fare special train will leave Coimbatore Junction at 4.15 p.m. on the same day to reach Madurai at 9.45 p.m.
The trains will have seven sleeper class coaches, eight general second class coaches, and two luggage-cum-brakevan coaches.
These trains will halt at Sholavandan, Dindigul, Oddanchatram, Palani, Udumalaipettai, and Pollachi railway stations.
Advance reservation for these trains will commence at 8 a.m. on January 12, an official press release of Salem Railway Division here on Thursday said.
