A woman tourist from the Netherlands was thrown out of a running train and robbed by an unidentified person in Haridwar district on Monday.
Flair de Noozle, 34, who was travelling to Amritsar by the Dehradun-Amritsar Express, was accosted by the man, when she came out of the toilet, and thrown out, Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Mohan Joshi said.
The man also jumped out and snatched a bag from the woman who was lying unconscious near the track.
A police patrol team rushed the injured woman to a nearby nursing home, from where she was discharged on Wednesday.
The bag contained Ms. Flair’s passport, debit and credit cards, and an iPod, among some other valuables, Mr. Joshi said.
She came to India on October 2 on a tourist visa.
