Expressing hope that buyers from national and international market would outnumber the sellers at the trade fair in Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said Jammu and Kashmir is open to business for trade, tourism and handicrafts.
“I am looking for the day when buyers from national and international market outnumber the sellers in such meets,” Mr. Abdullah said while inaugurating the third International Buyer-Seller meet.
The three-day event has been organised by Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Bank.
Appreciating the artisans, the Chief Minister said their work “mesmerises the lovers of handicrafts all across the world”. “The artisans here possess a kind of magic in their hands and create handicrafts of surprising art,” he said.
The chief Minister assured all possible help to the handicraft industry for its growth and development.
