ascertain if those killed were not innocent tribals / villagers. The
caption: 20 suspected Maoists killed in Chhattisgarh, itself raises some
suspicion.

We are proud of our Jawans.They have done a very good job. Now what Swami (?) Agnivesh says. a cold blooded murder ? I don't know what is the intention of this opportunust two-faced man. According to him if some are civilians, then I ask what these so-called civilians were doing at 2.00AM midnight in the deep forest ? Mr Agnivesh, people know you. They saw your many activities in the past.Please stay off, OK ? That is good for you.

The Bourgeoisie’s ideological propagation that India is a free country after the 1947 episode of the power transfer between the Indian ruling class and the Colonial rule has become petered out in the last six decades with the utter failure of the Bourgeoisie even to create a Socialist-Republic State as it promised in its Constitution. Whereas the Working Class Revolution which began in order to create the State of Proletariat Dictatorship never stopped with the episode of 1947; in fact the Working Class revolution under the protection and the guidance of the Naxalites (Warriors against the poverty and Creators of the State of Proletariat Dictatorship) was waged against the colonial exploitative rule and the exploitation by the native Indian ruling elites. According to the Scientific-Marxist-Leninist-Maoist-historiography, the Working Class’s quest to establish its own state, with a complete political power in its hand, has been continuing because the private ownership of the means of production with a constitutionally legalised wage slavery exists as permanent functions of the Democracy-India Variety.
The Warriors against Poverty (the Naxalites) and their Working Class should be seen, scientifically, within this historical context rather than branding them as the dissidents and terrorists of this Democracy. This perspective cannot be found in the Colonialist historiography, the Nationalist historiography and historiographies disguised in the name of Marxism. Even the Subaltern Historiography which emerged questioning the elite domination during the colonial struggle as well as in the historiographical reconstruction of Independence has been struggling to survive by seeking political space within the Bourgeoisie-achieved freedom. >A major element of Democracy-Indian Variety is democratic fascism (ideological subjugation as well as the coercive oppressive measures forcing the working class and their malnourished-children to remain as ‘energy stock’ to toil for the Private Owners of the means of production). More recently this democratic fascism reflected as ‘Statistical Economic Terrorism’ when the Planning Commission, arrogantly, estimated poverty line in India at Rs. 28.35 and Rs. 22.42 in urban and rural areas respectively. This ‘Rs. 28.35 and Rs. 22.42 ‘ is not even the amount a bourgeoisie spends for his single time cigarette per day; it is not even a small fraction of the total surplus amount spent for amusements and saturnalia by the Bourgeoisie.
In order to have their own state with a Dictatorship of Proletariat that will emancipate the exploited Class and their children, the Warriors against Poverty and Exploitation will continue with their tasks.

The state should recognize tribal's rights over the natural resources--
forests, land and water. The Maoists would wither away once tribals are
empowered. However, the class and caste character of the state and the
bureaucracy is the major road block and we end up reading the news of
the killings of 'suspected Naxals' or of the police/jawans. The
situation is indeed sad.

The state and central governments have failed in their responsibility to protect the lives and property of the citizen and the public from attacks by the Maoist anti-national terrorists. There is absolutely no reason for treating these barbaric terrorists with kid-glove. It is appalling that these terrorists have been allowed to cause death and mayhem for over three decades without the governments taking firm steps to eradicate these pests.

"20 suspected Maoists killed in Chhattisgarh". Does it make sense to kill person under suspicion? how many innoncent villagers are there in this "suspect Maoist" encounter. Who is responsbile for death of those innocent lives? why cannot home minister be penalized and action taken against him for killing such innocent villagers.

Bankruptcy in ideas and confusion in policy making by the state organs - on whether Maoists are to be treated as terrorists or as an organized militant group of patriiots engaged in unleashing violence to vent out their anger against the State for its failure in arresting social & economic exploitation - have lead the security of the nation to receive palpable & inerasable injury from the hands of the Maoists. Despite the lack of any change in the declared goal of the Maoists to overthrow democratically elected government through armed struggle, voices of support, born of fear or for political favor, silence the cry of the majority of the countrymen about their concerns on the national security. Human rights violations by any state organ is unpardonable. But, why do those so called intellectuals and votaries of Human Rights maintain stoic silence & retreat into coocoons when Maoists engage in human rights violations, abductions & killigs ? Obey rule of law or get crushed.

How do we know these are naxalites? How do we know they were not killed in cold blood? They are citizens of India just as you and me. Our police are meant to protect politicians/corporations and corrupt gov officials. These are the only people who protect our forests and resources from the plundering corrupt politicians and corporations/oligarchs.

@A.Kannan- Democracy may have its flaws but tell me Stalinist Russia
was any better for its people. On the contrary communist governments
are infinitely more capable in exploiting their people than working
democracies. Marx and Lenin have much to their credit but their
preachings are far from perfect. Sadly leftists quote them as
religious pundits quote from scriptures: taking them as absolute
truth. Social sciences like science are work in progress. Lenin criticized Einstein's theory as it did not fit in his theoretical
framework which communists assumed to be only scientific
interpretation. The world has changed much in hundred years. I believe
leftists are not freezed in time.
Endorsing violence by non state actors on jawans doing their duty in a
democratic establishment is utterly regressive.

this is a transformational disruption ,when some part of india become
developed .the underdeveloped regions show disturbance and naxals must
know one fact ,you cant win this war , it is not due to the power of
government ,but due to power of Indian citizens ,most of will not
tolerate the cruel method of naxals.An old man name Anna Hazare could

This is the end result of last 67 years of corrupt,policies of our
so called democracy.If we cannot bring these people to main stream
by education, proper land reforms, and jobs these kind of incidents
bound to happen.In modern times democracy is the best choice but
it failed miserably this part of India.At the same time this so called

For centuries there is a ruling class, that enjoys power and the other class that gets ruled.
Even with the best of intention rolling class can never satisfy all the needs of all the people
whom they rule.
When the bearing power of population gets to an edge, than they come out with fanatic
movements lead by other set of rollers that works on mind and hear of people. This kind of
movements impact all but the ruling class on both the side, because they are well protected,
politically, militarily and emotionally. Life is lost only by soldiers on both the sides.
With each of these news, we can just give condolences to family who lost their loved ones.. I
am not too sure who gain and who lost, both the sides has lost many, many soldiers without
any benefits to poors.

Naxalism is a social problem which was not addressed for years. If you or any one called Naxal take a gun into hand and kill any one means, taking LAW into your hands which is unconstitutional and there are ways to fight with government but not with a GUN. Hence LAW(CRPF or Police) must take its own course. Any one differ this might have anti-national thoughts in their mind and there is no difference between such thoughts and terrorists thoughts. CRPF crackdown major operation against Naxalites since their upper hand security forces just sit in their hands tied situation but this is an major achievement and should have more careful has they have preparing in big retaliation strategy to take action against this shootout. In recent time naxalites abducte, killing and attack kind of stories appeared in news paper and to that government taking stringent action by strethening the security forces in naxal hubs. This is best method adopted against hide force as they never listen to conciliation and compromise formula laid down by government through mediators and middleman in order to eradicate menace of the naxalites dominated areas.

However I believe tribals have first right to natural resources extracted from jungles & they deserve to be paid hefty life long royalty by mining companies. But their local MLA's have to fight in state assembly for that royalty payment? Who is Dantewada MLA & what has he done so far??? The royalty should be paid to village panchayat as I dont think there will be proper land records in tribal area for payment to individual families. Sometime back Rahul Gandhi talked about royalties for tribals in Orissa.....Where has he disappeared now???

@A.Kannan; If the Naxalites are the Soldiers of the Working Class, then why they blast schools, Railway stations and other utilities? In what way do these Infrastructers of poor man's India, obstruct them from achieving their social justice? If the Naxalites really wanted social justice, then why did not they attack the corrupt system of India like corrupt politicians, corrupt bureaucrats, corrupt businessmen in order to cleanse our society off such evils? 1.We should keep in mind that the government is chosen by voting. So
onus of failure or success of govt lies on us also.
2. Any other method than elections to form a govt is undemocratic and

own men. They have their own ideology, but they want to first

Guys there's no doubt the vital cause of naxalism is nothing but deeper levels of
exploitation, underdevelopment, and neglect by both central n state govts for decades. It has
it's roots in core socio economic distress n divide. Pure development of people in the area by
ensuring them adequate means of basic amenities, employment, education, health facilities
and bringing larger social justice to them, can alone vanish naxalism. Containing it through
bullets alone cannot suffice the larger cause as a long term solution. The govt. need to take
a mid path mainly through 'DEVELOPMENT N DIALOGUE'...

@Kannan I am working class & naxals, chambal dacoits etc are not my role models. My role models are people like Dhirubhai Ambani who rose from a village school master son to India's richest man without killing 1000's of policemen. My hero's are like Bill Gates who started as Clerk but became Billionaires through hard work & out-of-the-block thinking. There are hundreds of success stories to emulate who rose without killing policemen. Tribals are at fault if they want to maintain their wild ways in 21st century like Taliban in Afghanistan, it brings them in conflict with civilised world. If they want development & rise in life like Bill Gates, Ambani etc etc the sky is the limit else rot where you are. If Naxals kill our children working in CRPF we will not sit back (humne choodiyan nahin pehni hain) & will retaliate with full force at our disposal. @ Shaleen Mathur - The working class owns the Naxalites (the Soldiers - workers working and safeguarding the working class with their own suitable method of protection). The Naxalites within the working class and working class within the Naxalites is a connection between the mode of production under which the working class is kept in the exploited labourious mode and its existence question (retaliation in case of life threatening attempts from the exploiting class's state, police and army apart from the ruling politico-financial elites' capitalist exploitation). Thus it is justified to call the Naxalites as the Soldiers of the Working Class.

I don't support application of force to suppress the opposing views and ideology. Also don't support taking the course of armed struggle prematurely in a bid to bring about revolutionary change in the society. This is a task to be done taking the majority of the population in confidence. After all, change is for them, the exploited people. Then why not rouse them against it first. I think both the ways of premature armed struggle and quelling it by arms are wrong. By saying this I am not preaching pacifism. I only want to say, first motivate people against the existing discriminatory system and then call for an insurrection supported by armed revolutionary forces so that a befitting reply can be given to the repressive measures of state machinery.

We will have to make our way through hurdles and whenever such hurdles (like naxals) come in our way of development, we have to take necessary action against them. @Naveen basic infrastructure is lacking in Chattisgarh, Jharkhand ever since independence in 1947 while Naxal movement started in 1970's in Bengal & came to Chattisgarh only in 21st century as a result of govt's SEZ policy (giving farmer/tribal land to corporates/mining mafia at dirt cheap rates through use of police force). What the hell state govt of MP, Bihar, Orissa & Andhra do in 50 years (1947-2000) for development of basic infrastructure in these areas???

Death programs by the govt should never be supported. You never
know who could be next in line. Most of the time as long as it is
someone else we will praise the govt/jawans!! Being away from the
problem areas and having our perception managed and manufactured by
govt/media it is easy for us to be passive part-takers in this
genocide. Hitler had his reasons for targeting Jews, was it
justified? How can anyone justify use of force by govt on its own
people. This must be questioned and stopped.

It will take lot of joint-effort from each of us to achieve that, so have patience!! Also 100% equality can never be achieved & SHOULD NOT BE TRIED AT. Otherwise why will people work hard? Why should I work for 14-16 hours to make a unique product if everyone else works only 6-8 hours to make average product while everyone gets same salary??? THINK... Naxals are the creation of our greedy, selfish politicians who are least bothered of the problems of the poor. They make sweet talks in public, but they are worse and dangerous than cobras. Where is the earnings of the Indian people - the farmer, industrial workers, labourers etc??? the fruits of their toils and sweat are enjoyed by the traders, Builders, politicians and their group. Hats off to our Jawans. But i guess, this not the way out to this problem. Violence will be counterproductive for both Naxals & State, because the sufferers will be poor tribals only. If Naxals presume themselves to be the custodians of the poor tribals, they should come up for the talks with the government. State also has to take a stern call for the betterment of administration and make them responsive to the plight of the poor & underprivileged. Bloodshed of our own people can never be an achievement.

Killing innocent people who protect the working class from the land and mining mafia and corrupted politicians is not going to solve the problem. People's soldiers (the Naxalites) do not become enemies of the people since they are branded as terrorists by the ruling and exploiting class. In this British-free India, in order to protect themselves from the unleashed legally licensed-police force, people organise themselves to move ahead in their life struggle. Democracy has become a mere legal formalism throughout the world as the eminent philosopher Slavoj Zizek says. It drags with it millions of wage slaves, malnourished- children and poverty. Equality for everyone otherwise there is no democracy. J.F.Kennedy said "Freedom is indivisible and when one man is enslaved all are not free.". In this country one can see the children of the working class reduced to inhuman conditions and lead a life accelerated fast towards death. The truth is that history chases the oppressors till the history makers are emancipated in a system in which no man is forced to work for a few individuals.

Be ruthless with Naxal commanders as they are chief villains making money out of poor tribal's misery. Go for the kill & kill as many commanders as you can. But distinguish between poor tribals who are suffering very harsh life due to zero development in past 65 years. REAL DEVELOPMENT of Tribals in terms of MODERN EDUCATION, VOCATIONAL TRAINING must be top priority of govt & not just construction of malls, industrial/residential township in jungles (these are useless for tribals). It is shameful the govt has no map of the jungles in central India & CRPF operates in dark (bhagwan bharose). All because the local administration (DM, IFS officers), state govt's in Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Patna & Hyderabad were SLEEPING, exploiting tribal areas for past 65 years. What have the District Magistrates, MLA's of Naxal hotbed of Jagargunda and Basaguda in Dantewada done for past 65 years??? They should all be lined up & asked... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE BLOODY...IN LAST 65 YEARS??????

Campaign to kill is counterproductive. It definitely will make things worse for the people of India. Incompetent leaders unable to handle complicated political problems use force as solution for every problem. Our political system has failed to produce leaders who are able to see through the problems and work for the benefit of the country.
