Marathon on April 22

As part of observing World Health Day and World Water Day, Erodu Run-2018, will be held here on April 22.

Olirum Erodu Foundation (OEF), Indian Medical Association (IMA) Erode, Young Indians (Yi), and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are organising the marathon at CNC College Ground at Veerappanchatiram.

The marathon is organised to create awareness on non-communicable diseases such as blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, paralysis, cancer, and to save water.

The marathon is organised in three different categories, 21.1 km run for those aged 18 and above, 10 km run for those aged 14 and above, and 5 km run is open to all age group.

Those interested should register their names before April 8. Medals will be given to those who complete the marathon.

District Collector S. Prabhakar, Superintendent of Police R. Sivakumar and Corporation Commissioner Seeni Ajmal Kahn will flag off the marathon. Online registration is available at www.erodurun.com .

Registration can be done at the following places: all branches of Magic Mobiles and Jaisurysas, Olirum Erodu Foundation Office, Sweets Cart – Gandhiji Road, Beyond - Brough Road, Liquidzz - Perundurai Road.
