Man murdered

A 35-year-old man was murdered by two persons in broad daylight at Selvapuram on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Vinoth Kumar, a resident of Sivaram Nagar on Sungam – Ukkadam bypass road.

The police said that the incident happened on Friday afternoon when Kumar had come to the house of a relative at IUDP Colony near Selvapuram.

As Kumar was talking with another person, two men came to the spot and hacked him several times. Though Kumar was rushed to the hospital, he was declared brought dead by doctors, said the police.

Later in the evening, Selvarajan and Ponrajan, surrendered at the Selvapuram Police Station in connection with the incident. Initial investigations revealed that Vinoth Kumar allegedly had a relationship with the wife of one of the persons who surrendered at the station.

Kumar, employed at optical showroom, had been into real estate business along with his elder brother.
