The two-day NRI Global Meet, organised under the aegis of the Indo-Arab Confederation Council, will begin in Kannur on July 23. Investors' meet, history seminars and discussions on various rehabilitation packages for the Gulf returnees will be held as part of the event. Attakkoya Pallikandi, chairman of the Indo-Arab Confederation Council, told presspersons here on Thursday that Minister of State for Railways E. Ahamed would open the programme. “Cultural leaders, prominent NRI industrialists and representatives from various NRI organisations will attend the programme,” he added. Mr. Attakkoya said the main objective of the summit was to encourage NRIs to start their own enterprises.
