A ‘solidarity march’ by cultural leaders from Kerala to Kudankulam in Tamil Nadu in support of activists agitating against Kudankulam Nuclear Power plant was stopped at Kaliyakavila on the state border on Sunday, police said.

The march, inaugurated by noted poet and environmental activist Sugathakumari at Parasalla, was stopped when it reached Kaliyakavila, they said.

About 100 persons, including litterateur Sara Joseph and social activists K. Ajitha and P.R.B. Bhasker participated in the march.
