18 injured in bus accident in Kerala

At least 18 persons were injured in a bus accident in the Kaduvapally police station limits near Attingal on Saturday morning.

According to the police, the accident took place near Thotukadu in Kaduvapalli at around 8.30 a.m. The bus from Tamil Nadu had 30 passengers who were returning from a pilgrimage. The injured were rushed to a private hospital nearby. A few have suffered minor injuries and were given first aid. One of the vehicle’s tyres was found punctured.

Swarnamma, aged 60, who suffered a serious head injury, was rushed to the Medical College Hospital. According to the Duty Police, the victim is a native of Theviyodu, Chovallur near Marthandam.
