The special investigation team probing the murder of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) worker Abdul Shukkoor will question Communist Party of India (Marxist) district secretary P. Jayarajan here on July 9.
Fresh notice was served on Mr. Jayarajan on July 1 to appear before the team on July 9.
When contacted, police officers in the team said that Mr. Jayarajan was asked to appear before the team at the Government Guest House here at 11 a.m. on Monday.
Democratic Youth Federation of India State secretary T.V. Rajesh, MLA, had also been served notice to appear before the team.
The MLA had formally informed the police that he could not be present before the investigating team till the Assembly session was over on July 31.
