An inquiry has been ordered into the derailment of the Yeshwantpur-Mangalore-Kannur Express train in the Western Ghats on January 4, Senior Divisional Manager (Commercial) Anup Dayanand Sadhu said here on Friday.

Speaking to presspersons during his visit to Hassan, Mr. Sadhu said that the probe team had been given 10 days to file the report. “The report is expected to be submitted by the team next week”, he added.

Halt at Dudda

Mr. Sadhu said that a halt had been provided at Dudda station for the Mysore-Arsikere passenger train on a trial basis. But as the response was poor, the department will re-think on continuing it.
