The Mandya district administration on Sunday reopened the famed Brindavan Gardens at the Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS), near Srirangapatna, to the public after 15 days.
Out of bounds
The garden was out of bounds to the public to maintain law and order in the vicinity of the KRS after the State government started releasing water to Tamil Nadu to comply with the Cauvery River Authority decision on September 29. “We have reopened the famous garden to the public,” an officer at the KRS told The Hindu on Sunday evening.
