The entire nation wants Rahul: Moily

July 22, 2012 12:51 am | Updated 12:51 am IST - Bangalore:

Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M. Veerappa Moily on Saturday said the entire nation wants the All-India Congress Committee general secretary and MP Rahul Gandhi to be either in the Union Government or in a top post in the Congress.

Speaking to presspersons after attending the coordination committee meeting at the KPCC office here, Mr. Moily said Mr. Gandhi should play a decisive role in guiding the party/government and that it was left to him to take a final call. He said the revised draft Lokpal Bill was far better than what social activist Anna Hazare had envisaged, and he should not have any further grouse over the content of the Bill. If he still opposes the Bill, it might be that he has some political agenda on his mind.

On the Nationalist Congress Party chief and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar’s threat of resigning, he said there must be some provocation for him to do it, but hoped that he would continue his support to the UPA government.
