Railway staff blamed for Hampi Express accident

The Commissioner of Railway Safety (Southern Circle), who conducted an inquiry into the May 22 Hampi Express accident at Penukonda, has concluded that the incident was due to the failure of railway staff.

A release from the PIB on Tuesday said the CRS, S.K. Mittal, conducted the statutory inquiry into the accident in which 25 people were killed. The findings are in active consideration of the Union government.
