The Janata Dal (Secular) has ruled out extending support to the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the State, which is in the throes of a crisis sparked by the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa's threat to quit the party.
Though the former Chief Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy was away in New Delhi, his office here issued a statement scotching speculation of a possible tie-up between the Janata Dal (Secular) and the BJP in the wake of the crisis gripping the D.V. Sadananda Gowda government.
“There will be no understanding with the BJP,” the statement said, adding that the crisis in the ruling party was not a matter that concerns the Janata Dal (Secular).
