Infosys Limited Mysore Building Awarded Highest LEED Rating
Infosys Ltd. has been awarded the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)India ‘Platinum’ rating by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for its Software Development Block 5(SDB 5) in Mysore, India. This is the third Infosys building that has won the rating, taking the total Platinum certified building area at Infosys to 780,000 sq ft. LEED-India Green Building Rating System is a nationally and internationally accepted benchmark for design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
Amazon launches Junglee.com
Amazon.com, Inc. has announced the launch of Junglee, a new online shopping service featuring Indian and global brands. The service provides users the option of buying from online as well as offline retailers. The service will enable users to access shop for more than 1.2 crore products, including 90 lakh books. It also retails Amazon’s Kindle, the e-book reader.
“Junglee aggregates detailed product information including customer reviews, price, and shipping speed across multiple sources, including Amazon.com, so customers can research products and evaluate buying options to make an informed purchasing decision,” Amazon said in a statement.
Customers have the option of following the link to the seller’s website or find a seller’s physical store if they would rather purchase the product in person. Or, they can order by phone.
Naukri.com launches mobile phone app
Naukri.com, the job search portal, has launched apps for use with iPhone, Blackberry and android phones. It uses an exclusive HTML5 site, which will enable users to search and apply for jobs on the move. The app as well as the dedicated website will enable users of the free application to use search criteria such as location, functional area, number of years of experience, etc. Users can also set up to five “job alerts,” based on the criteria they set.
