Justice Nelson Britto of the Bombay High Court at Goa on Friday recused himself from hearing the anticipatory bail applications of the former Goa Tourism Minister, Mickky Pacheco, and his former Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Lyndon Monteiro.

The two are the prime accused and co-accused respectively in the case of unnatural death of Nadia Torrado.

When the bail applications came up for hearing, Justice Britto said, “not before me”.

Mr. Pacheco and Mr. Monteiro would now have to move an application before the Chief Justice of the High Court requesting that their anticipatory bail applications be heard by another judge.
