The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday said those involved in the stone-pelting incident that caused the death of an 11-day-old infant at Chakla-Baramulla on Monday would be apprehended in two days.

In a statement in the Assembly in Jammu, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Sagar said those involved in the crime were identified and several places were raided to nab them. An FIR was lodged in the Baramulla police station and investigations were on.

On February 22, a vehicle coming from Rafiabad to Baramulla was stopped by some miscreants at Chakla and the passengers were told to get down. Soon after, the miscreants started pelting stones. In the melee that followed, the baby of Kalsooma of Rawoocha-Rafiabad fell down and died, the Minister said.
