There’s no denying that children love dolls of all hues and makes. When given a task to arrange them in rows, they did it with élan.

When Bachpan Play School decided to celebrate Dasara with ‘Bommala Koluvu’, the traditional form of arranging dolls in vertical rows of odd numbers resembling steps, the tiny tots jumped with joy to lend a helping hand.

In the three steps, the top one had idols of mythological and devotional characters like ‘Dasavatharam’, while the second one had spiritual leaders and inspiring personalities like Gandhiji and general art pieces. Display material made of wood and clay, besides Terracota and Kondapalli toys comprised the third row at the bottom. This apart, the park had elephants, dogs, cats, cows etc.

“The children came along with their parents to watch the impressive display,” said principal G.D. Anitha. The ‘Bommala Koluvu’ will be on till the close of Dasara vacations.
