The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams have decided to return to the owners all mobile phones seized at the Venkateswara temple here, on payment of Rs. 500. For security reasons, the TTD management has slapped restrictions on carrying mobile phones into the temple and seized thousands of them from worshippers who violated the regulation.

When the issue of disposal of the phones was referred to Executive officer L.V. Subramanyam, he ordered that they be returned to the owners.

Devotees can get back their gadgets from the Assistant Executive Officer, Treasury, at the TTD’s administrative building here within three weeks.
