Nepal President: I have prayed for a terror-free world

Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav on Sunday said that the relations with India were excellent and attributed the reasons for the affinity to decades-old fraternity.

He told journalists after offering prayers at the temple of Lord Venkateswara that no country in the world would ever aid or tolerate terrorism in any form.

“I have prayed to the Lord for a terror-free world and universal prosperity of mankind.”

Hope for peace, stability

Dwelling on relations with India, he hoped there would be peace, stability and development.

On his arrival at the main entrance (Mahadwaram) to the hill temple, the President was ceremoniously received by the TTD Joint Executive Officer K. Bhaskar, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer M.K. Singh and other officials with traditional temple honours and was led into the sanctum sanctorum.

The President was accompanied by Ambassador to India Rukma Shumsher Rana, his counterpart Rakesh Sood and other officials. After the visit, Dr. Yadav and his entourage motored down to Tirupati.
