Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Sunday expressed grief over the death of Sathya Sai Baba.

Mr. Yeddyurappa, an ardent devotee of Sai Baba, described the spiritual leader as a “noble soul” who sacrificed his entire life for the good of human beings.

Sai Baba passed on Sunday morning in Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh due to cardio-respiratory failure.

Special buses to Puttaparthi

Karnataka State Transport Corporation on Sunday said it would run special buses to Puttaparthi to enable devotees from the state to pay their last respects to Sai Baba.

KSRTC sources said it would ply as many buses as required in accordance with the demand in the coming days commencing from Sunday.

Sai Baba has lakhs of devotees from the state.
