The government told the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that it was confident of readying all facilities in time for the Commonwealth Games. It would not tolerate any corruption and take action if “there is anything.”

“Have faith in India, India will get there,” Sports Minister M.S. Gill said. “As far as corruption is concerned, the government will take all action. I will write to the authorities, including the Finance Minister, asking them … to go seriously into ... if there is anything,” he said, responding to an Opposition barrage, led by Brinda Karat (CPI-M) and Prakash Javadekar (BJP).
