Reacting to Supreme Court’s decision to name the non-cricketers alone in the IPL scam case, Justice Mukul Mudgal told a private television channel: “The court is doing something and it is well thought out. The court will do what is right. The committee has done to its best of ability, we should have faith in our judicial process.”

Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi: “Today is a day of momentous proportions. “Finally, the money power and mafia power are no match to honourable Supreme Court. Truth prevails. Thank you, Justice Mudgal. Now it’s time to cleanse mafia stranglehold on ICC, BCCI, ECB and CA. All named in the report should be locked up for doing what they did.”

Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma: “We have been saying since the beginning that there is conflict of interest as far as N. Srinivasan is concerned and also whoever is associated with him. The BCCI and its State associations have been forced to turn a blind eye. .”

Former BCCI president Shashank Manohar: “The image of the Board is tarnished by the actions and the attitude of Mr. Srinivasan. The gentleman’s game as the game of cricket has long been known and the reputation of the Board is at its lowest due to the autocratic behaviour of one individual. The Board and the game of cricket is bigger than any individual.”

Interim BCCI president Shivlal Yadav: “Let me make it clear that all the reports of protecting someone big are all mere speculation. I am the interim president of the BCCI because of the Supreme Court directive. So, I don’t know why should anyone should entertain any doubts about shielding someone .
