The Federation of PTI Employees Union has decided to observe a daylong strike on Friday to press for implementation of the Majithia wage board for journalists and non-journalists, as notified by the government.
In a press release, federation general secretary M.S. Yadav said the PTI operations would be suspended from 2.00 a.m. on April 20 to 8 a.m. on April 21, with all members observing the daylong strike.
He said the federation decided to strike work on April 6 after a long wait and failing to get a proper response from the management, which he accused of denying the workers their legitimate due.
Mr. Yadav warned of intensifying the agitation if the management failed to meet the employees' demand.
