VHP protests ban on Togadia

April 05, 2015 03:18 am | Updated 03:18 am IST - Kolkata:

Accusing the Trinamool Congress government of heading towards “political confrontation” by banning Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Pravin Togadia from entering the State, the West Bengal leadership of the outfit said such attempts could not stop its activities .

“We are an apolitical organisation and Mr. Togadia is also not a political personality. So there is no need for such confrontation here,” VHP State Secretary Chinmoy Dutta told media persons here on Saturday.

Condemning the ban, Mr. Dutta said for now it was “uncertain” whether Mr. Togadia would come to Bengal. “But he is considering all the legal aspects in this regard,” he said.
