Robert Vadra on Monday shut down his Facebook account, days after a controversy broke out over his business deals with realty major DLF. Civil society activist Arvind Kejriwal had raised questions over the rise in his fortune.

Mr. Vadra was reportedly unhappy with somebody making a controversy out of a comment made by him on Facebook on Sunday. “Mango people in a banana republic,” he reportedly commented but later deleted the remark.

In his account on Twitter, Mr. Kejriwal tweeted: “Evidence pouring in from mango men from across the country. Mango men wud prove to be nemesis for the powerful.”
