U.S. consulate announces contest for bloggers

The United States consulate-general here has announced a blogging competition for residents of the southern States and Puducherry on “U.S.-India Partnership: It matters.”

A press release issued by Ragini Gupta, acting public affairs officer of the consulate-general, said the competition was designed to harness the internet's capacity for effective public encouragement and to highlight the vibrancy of India-U.S. relations.

The contest is open to Indians 18 years or older and the deadline for submission is April 9. Winners will receive a laptop, a desktop and an iPod as the first three prizes.

To enter the contest, participants must submit their personal details and blog URL address to chennaiconsulateblogcontest@gmail.com. The complete set of rules can be found at facebook.com /chennai.usconsulate.
