The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday apprehended two Pakistan nationals, along with three fishing boats from the Harami Nalla creek area along the India-Pakistan border in Kutch, Gujarat.

The two persons — 22-year-old Manzoor and 19-year-old Abid — apprehended by the BSF are both fishermen who had ventured into the Indian side of the creek area for fishing.

Three engine-fitted wooden boats have also been seized, including fishing nets, ice boxes and other personal belongings. After apprehension of the fishermen and their boats, the BSF personnel conducted a through search in the entire creek to check whether more fishing boats had ventured into the area.

The two persons were handed over to local police for further interrogation.

In the past, the BSF had seized several fishing boats as well as fishermen from the neighbouring country while fishing in the Indian side of the Harami Nalla creek along the border.
