Perfect allotment for both the routes of Double Decker trains! These two
routes badly needed it!
guys , double decker trains are only for short journey , not for long journey as they are chair cars ..i dont know what people are assuming . btw there are satabdhi for long journeys right . and for minimal the travelling time indian govt is looking forward for bullet trains . which are in much need . so chill up guys . DD is short journey . if u able to mention short journey routs . its worth..and make awareness of demand ..
mm..most awaited by me!
I was under the impression the double decker coaches are chair car... seating only!
For those who say that a double decker between Indore to Bhopal is a welcome step can just try out booking a ticket in any express train between these two stations. Most probably they will get the reservation.I just want to say that such trains will be helpful to do away crowds, stations between which reservations are not available in general, and trains are enough in number that additional train will add to the cost.Double decker should be used judicially.Else they will just prove what they are not supposed to be proved viz.white elephant
Cant understand the neglect towards Pune - Hubli - Bangalore route. No
new trains introduced even though this is shortest distance from Pune to
Bangalore. Also double-decker AC trains for mere 5-6 hrs journey doesnt
makes sense to me. These expensive trains (as in lot of money went in
R&D) can cover there costs only on long distances.
This sort of trains need to ply between Chennai Central to Coimbatore and back to reduce heavy rush.

Is it Indian Railways or West Bengal railways to which the minister
works for? A sleeping, dull city gets 50 services additionally and
Chennai which is badly in need of complete upgrading and overhauling
of the all modes of transport doesn't get the much required support.
The familiar saying of "vadakku valargirathu! therku theigirathu!!"
(meaning north is shining and developing and south is perishing and
being ignore) is once again proved right. `hope at least in the days
of third front rule after next parliament elections, south gets its
due share...
Double decker is applicable only for chair car, hence would make sense
for only travel time of 5 to 7 hrs. Which is exactly what is being
planned.
there is no new double decker or shatabdi express for north region.the
train for bombay have a long waiting list there is a need for rajdhanior
express train in addition to paschim express.

Why no new trains from Pune to other important cities ? It has been highlighted so many times that Pune has got professionals and students from various parts of the country. However, trains are insufficient and too few in number.
Yes Double decker trains are the needs of present time...so their no.
should increase and they should cover longer distance.
Bangalore<-->Guntur is a busy router surprisingly no train this year as well.
Till date there is no proper train in this route, The private Volvo Bus service providers are making merry, making life difficult for all software employees..
It does not prevail sense for a CHENNAI - BANGALORE Double Decker. It is
also wise if the Double Decker trains allotted to longer journey routes,
at least a minimum of 12 hours journey. Otherwise this move will be
viewed as mere ornamental.
This is badly needed betweem Bhopal and Indore where is lot of traffic
Double decker trains are meant to do away the load of traffic between two
important cities. It will be more fruitful if they be run on a longer route
as people atleast will not have to compromise travelling or travelling on
tatkal ticket for most of their journeys.Eg Delhi-Mumbai,Mumbai-
Chennai,Delhi-Kolkata, Kolkata-Chennai,Patna-Delhi,Bhopal-
Bangalore,Jaipur-Pune and so on.The very need to ply such train on a small
route of Habibganj-Indore is clearly not understandable.
