Two more coal scam cases closed

April 21, 2014 11:29 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 07:20 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

The CBI has filed closure reports in two more coal block allocation scam cases even as the ED initiated a probe to identify assets derived out of the gains made from alleged illegal allocations.

The CBI has given a clean-chit to Congress MP Vijay Darda, his firm JLD Yavatmal Energy Limited and filed a closure report in the case due to lack of “prosecutable evidence.”

Citing the same reason, the agency also closed the case against JAS Infrastructure Capital Private Limited. Meanwhile, the CBI on Monday questioned the former MoS for Coal, Dasari Narayana Rao, in another allocation case.
