Two militants killed in Baramulla gunfight

Two militants, holed up in a house, were killed in an intense gun battle with the security forces in a village in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

The militants, believed to be affiliated to the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad, were killed at Kuchwa Muqam , Deputy Inspector-General of Police Abdul Qayoom Manhas told PTI.

Shakeel Ahmad Beigh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Baramulla, said the village was cordoned off on Tuesday night, and the firing began when the militants refused to surrender.
