December 11, 2015 02:45 pm | Updated 02:45 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Two French nationals have been arrested for allegedly assaulting Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawans and misbehaving with staff of an airline at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Friday.

A CISF officer said that the two men -- identified as Martinez Victor and Patenere Morgan -- were inebriated. The argument, according to CISF was between the passengers and British Airways employees at the airport after they were not allowed to board the flight because of reaching late.

The two reached the airport at 3-55 a.m. while the flight was scheduled at 3-40 a.m.

"They created nuisance and when our men tried to intervene, they were punched," said the officer.

The accused were headed for London when the incident took place.
