Top priority for strengthening security, says Rajnath

Reiterating that the NDA government accords top priority to internal security, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday asked chiefs of all security agencies and Central Paramilitary Forces to prepare a road map to tighten and strengthen the overall security architecture in the country.

Mr. Singh expressed concern over the development projects being affected by the internal security situation and undertook an hour-long review of the security apparatus.

The meeting was attended by newly-appointed National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, chiefs of the Intelligence Bureau , Research and Analysis Wing and heads of para-military forces.

“Development requires good security environment. Our government is committed to it,’’ the Minister told the senior officers.
