Right to privacy is “intrinsic to life and liberty,” rules SC

A nine-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court on August 24  ruled that right to privacy  is “intrinsic to life and liberty” and is inherently protected under the various fundamental freedoms enshrined under Part III of the Indian Constitution.

Nandan Nilekani appointed non-executive chairman of Infosys

Nandan Nilekani, one of the seven engineers who founded Infosys in 1981 and was its CEO from 2002 to 2007, will take over as non-executive chairman and non-independent director with immediate effect, the company said in a statement to stock exchanges.
