Decision on climate treaty soon, says Trump

The U.S. will take a decision on its continuation in the Paris climate treaty within the next two weeks, President Donald Trump said on Saturday, naming China, Russia and India for allegedly contributing nothing under the treaty. During the campaign, Mr. Trump had promised to withdraw from the treaty, but senior officials of his administration are divided over the issue. A decision is expected before the G-7 summit on May 26-27.

Venkaiah scoffs at rumours on mid-term polls 

Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday rubbished the rumours of mid-term elections as “baseless” and said the government will complete its full-term before going to polls in 2019.

Some 30 young women, in college uniform, faces partly covered, are gathered beside standee panels that say ‘Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan’. At least 10 of the girls hurl stones— dhan dhana dhan —in the direction of photographer Nissar Ahmad where he is, most probably, standing alongside the J&K Police or the Indian paramilitary.
