Toll in Medak bus-train collision rises to 18

The toll in the bus-train collision near Masaipet village in Medak district rose to 18 on Tuesday.

Eleven-year-old Vaishnavi, resident of Islampur, Toopran, who received grievous injuries in the Masaipet school bus tragedy, breathed her last in the wee hours of Tuesday at Yashoda hospitals.

Earlier on Monday evening, another critically injured child Tarun was declared dead by doctors.

The tragedy has so far claimed the lives of 16 school children, besides the bus driver and helper.
