High Altitude Sickness happens to many, especially to seniors unless they were told about it and take precaution of keeping oxygen cylinders with them. I had it when I visited Yamunotri, Gangotri, Tungnath, etc. On return I was asked to take ixygen for one full day.
Amarnath pilgrimage is one of my latest desires but such incidents actually discourage me as also fear cold environment.
