Defence Minister A.K.Antony said on Tuesday that the threat from militant camps in Pakistan was continuing. He was talking to the media here after attending a function at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences.

Mr. Antony said the threat to India from Pakistan militants was a reality."Dozens of Pakistani extremist camps were active in Pakistan territory. Despite India'srepeated demands in the aftermath of the miserable Bombay incident (last Novembers attack) of there had been no effective measures to remove these camps. So far as these camps exist in Pakistan soil, the threat to India will persist. It is a reality," he said.

Earlier, the Minister handed over three national accreditation certificates pertaining to quality of laboratory examination and treatment at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences.
