The most wanted idol and antique items smuggler Subhash Chandra Kapoor (61), brought to Chennai on Friday night from Germany by a CB-CID team, was produced in the Ariyalur court in Tamil Nadu on Saturday and remanded in judicial custody.

He is facing two cases of idol theft (10 idols from the Tiruparandam temple and eight idols from the Suthamalli temple) in Ariyalur in 2008. Speaking to The Hindu, Inspector-General R.
