Ten years RI for principal

A local court in Bihar has awarded ten years rigorous imprisonment to a primary school principal for raping a ten-year-old student in 2007.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Jitendra Kumar held the principal of Malpatty Primary School Mohammad Shakeer guilty of raping the student and sentenced him to undergo ten years rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs. 5,000.

Public prosecutor Shyam Kishore Prashan said the ADJ issued the orders yesterday.

The girl’s s father had lodged an FIR with Kamtaul police station on December 8, 2007.
