Water cans being sold at exorbitant prices

May 03, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:37 am IST

All the promises of the government on supplying potable water at a comparatively cheaper rate of Rs. 2 to Rs. 4 per 20 litre are not kept in practice and the summer is seeing mineral water suppliers selling cans at Rs. 25 to Rs.35.

The monthly expenditure on water is accruing more than milk and average and BPL families are the worst-hit. I request the Chief Minister to initiate action immediately to provide water in the areas covered under GHMC and Cantonment.

Road in bad condition

The road linking Suchitra Centre to Bank Colony and Chinthal areas in Jeedimetla is in bad condition and rain for a few minutes ended up disrupting traffic.

The issue was brought to the notice of the GHMC, but it remained unattended for years. Hope the civic body attends to this and gives relief to the road users and residents at the earliest.

Inadequate water supply

I reside in R&D Defence Enclave, Sikh Village, Secunderabad since 1989. Until November - December 2014, we used to get drinking water supply every two days.  Since December 2014, the supply dwindled to every three to five days.  Despite news that water supply will improve after Krishna water phase-three, there is no change in the frequency of supply of drinking water in the last few days.
