Congress cadres are planning to give a grand welcome to former Member of Parliament Madhu Goud Yaskhi, who is coming to the district on Saturday for the first time after being appointed AICC secretary, in-charge of the party affairs in Karnataka.

The cadres will receive him at Madhavanagar Saibaba temple and take him in a bike rally to the Baswa Garden, where he will be felicitated around 12 noon.

All the party senior leaders, including former Ministers and legislators, are expected to attend the reception, according to DCC president Taher Bin Hamdan.

Addressing a joint press conference here on Thursday, Hamdan said that the party cadres and people in general will always hold Mr. Madhu Goud in high respect as he honestly fought for the cause of Telangana and played a pivotal role in the Parliament in ensuring separate Statehood for Telangana.
